Chinese New Year
We celebrated Chinese New Year on Monday 8th February 2016. We read a poem and talked about the nouns and verbs related with the celebration. We worked hard to create a rhyming poem. In the afternoon we made some super lanterns and pictures, then tasted some delicious Chinese food. Some of us were very good with the chopsticks!
On Tuesday 9th February (Shrove Tuesday) we made some delicious pancakes. The children learned about Shrove Tuesday and followed a recipe for Pancakes. We enjoyed our Pancakes with a touch of sugar. We have written the instructions so we know how to make them in the future - the children were all keen to go home and practise their new skills.
