Ethos

•  To ensure that teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all the pupils

•  In making provision for socially disadvantaged pupils we recognise that not all pupils who receive free school meals will be socially disadvantaged

•  We also recognise that not all pupils who are socially disadvantaged are registered or qualify for free school meals.

 

Provision 2019 / 2020

  • Development of Early Help and Inclusion Team inc staff. Resources, intervention
  • Meeting December 2020 with SBN / EHIT leader and HT to set budget for Pupil Premium / strategy and impact statement to be submitted at next resources committee
  • Breakfast club / lunch time clubs / ASC / Robin Wood / School trips

 

Previous years provision – to be adapted

  • Provision of small group work with experienced teachers and teaching assistants focused on overcoming gaps in  learning-groups of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4 (adult: child ratio) - £15000
     
  • Training for high quality intervention programmes designed to close the gap between advantaged and disadvantaged pupils.  Training for Project X Code reading Intervention - £3000
     
  • Training and deployment of TAs to deliver 1stClass@writing intervention
     
  • Increased group/individual support in maths and English throughout the school-utilising high quality programmes such as First Class@Number, Letters and Sounds, 1:1 reading support - £12000
     
  • Part fund educational visits for vulnerable pupils. - £1500
     
  • Part funding for Breakfast Club after school clubs - £5660
     
  • To buy in support for pupils in Early Years who need help with speech and language – Language Link - £540
     
  • Salary of Pastoral Manager –working with parents, improving attendance, liaising with external agencies, attending multiagency meetings.  Carrying our Early Help Assessments.  Salary of TAs trained in Therapeutic Inclusion Room, Play therapy for children at risk from the effects of Domestic Abuse.  Developing and supporting outdoor learning / forest school/ sensory garden - £28,850

 

  • Salary of 10 x hours a week Th-inc Room (Rainbow Room) - £7952
     
  • Staffing over lunchtimes for Nursery – Nurture time , promoting language development £1000
     
  • Extra support at lunchtimes to support individual children to improve well-being, self-image and self-esteem and ....consequently achievement – Reflection Room and clubs - £4300
     
  • Purchase of resources and training for programmes such as Numbers Count and Letters and Sounds.  Resources for Maths Passports – £3000
     
  • Funding of a Reading University to improve KS2 pupils’ reading skills and reach Greater Depth. (equivalent)Theatre trips , text and guest speakers – Authors and Poets £3500
