Daily 60 Second Challenge
Word Of The Week
Literacy - Writing an information text
Monday - Terrfiying T-REX
In today's lesson, we will be listening to an information text about a T-Rex. We will be learning some new vocabulary and then answering questions about it. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil.
Tuesday - Commit an information text to memory
In today's lesson, we will be drawing our information text, paying special attention to the subtitles to help us to organise this information. You will need piece of paper and a pencil.
Thursday - To calculate change
In this lesson you will be using addition and subtraction skills to find out how much change you will get from a certain amount of money.
Investigating warm and cool colours
In today’s lesson, we will be focusing on how colours can be categorised into warm and cool. Warm colours help us think of warm and cosy things, while cool colours may remind us of fresh, calm and chilly things. We will create a piece of work inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe, who used warm and cool colours in her artwork. You will need a piece of paper, a pencil and some paints or colouring pencils.
Construct a vehicle
In today's lesson, we are going to be thinking about the different vehicles that we use to travel from one place to another. We will use construction resources to construct a representation of our chosen vehicle.
Science - Plants
In today’s session, we will be thinking about germs on our clothes; how they are transmitted onto our skin and clothes, and the need to keep clean. We will look into how we can stay clean by washing and changing clothes, and look at the functions of a washing machine. The children will work on creating a visual of a ‘before and after’ of their uniform following a visit to school. From this, we will explore other ways of keeping clean so that we can keep healthy.
